He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Jean Mary; his children, Michelle Gardiner (late Colin), Kelly McIsaac (Laurie) and Julie Anne; and his grandchildren, Victoria "Tori" Wirth (Sam) and Jeffrey Gardiner (Michelle Tober). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

In honour of John, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by his family.
