He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lapointe and Éliane Boulay; and his sister Marthe. He is survived by: his close friend Susan Devlin; his sister Gilliane; his children, Brigitte (Vince), Stéphanie, Julien and Laurent; his daughter-in-law Saskia; his grandsons, Stévan and Tristan Lapointe; and his nieces, Ingrid and Edith Bartsch. He is also survived by 4 granddaughters, 5 grandsons and 12 great-grandchildren.
