It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon Eldon Barker (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his child Gerry Barker (late Deanna); his parents, Eldon and Evelyn; and his siblings, Ross, Ralph, Ken, Fred, Doug, Betty and Shirley.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Barker; his children, Karen Bannister (Pat), Laure Cowie (Gerard), John Barker (Mary-Rose), David Barker (Judy), Greg Barker (Nancy) and Steve Barker; his stepdaughter Susan Miller (Glen); and his brother Clarence Barker (Pat). He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In memory of Gord, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Five Counties Children Centre would be appreciated by the family.
