He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Johnston and June Johnston. He is survived by: his spouse Olena Oliinyk; his children, Valerie Johnston (Edward) and Gerald Alfred Johnston; his grandchildren, Kalem, Kayanna, Edward Jr. and Ryan; and his siblings, Andrew, Cheryl, Eileen (Joe), Laura (late Paul) and Mary (Dave).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Duffus Funeral Home (431 George St S, Peterborough, ON K9J3E2). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Duffus Chapel (431 George St S, Peterborough, ON K9J3E2). A reception will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 2:30 PM at the Duffus Reception Centre (431 George St S, Peterborough, ON K9J3E2).
