He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia; his daughter Tanya (Craig McGregor); his parents, Leona Monteith and Joseph Monteith; and his sister Wanda Patton.

He is survived by: his child Geoff (Codi Roode); his grandchildren, Damion, Kassidy, Lily and Sophie Monteith; his brother Raymond Monteith; and his siblings-in-law, Luke, Tim (Lynnette), Marijke and Ingrid Groenendyk. He is also survived by cousins, friends.
