He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Armstrong and Joyce Armstrong; and his brother Bryan Armstrong. He is survived by: his spouse Francoise Nyiraneza; his stepchildren, Christian, Samantha and Holly Kaikai; his siblings, Marilyn McArthur (Brian), Rosemary Chatten (Charlie), Doug Armstrong (Kathy) and Linda Jackman (Bob); his siblings-in-law, Dr. Pierre Rukundo (Jeanne), Nadine Vandermortello (Luc), Nadeje Uwineza, Claudette Rwarahoze and Frida Brodie (Mike); and his pet William.
