With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gaetano Aiello (Peterborough, Ontario), who passed away on April 4, 2024 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Ida; and his daughter Anita Aiello-Clemmens. He is survived by: his son Joe (Shirley); his grandson Christopher (Kim); his great grandchildren, Michael and Kaitlin; and his siblings, Phil (Lena) and Pat Aiello. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.

If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation, St. Joseph's at Fleming Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

“When I first Guy and was introduced by his son, Joe and a very good friend of mine in the 'Ship and Shore' lounge at the Lakefield Hotel. Guy struck me as a very fair and genuine individual. He was a man who worked tirelessly and valued the interaction he had with people. His long life, I believe was has grateful attitude and good listener for the people he met. Guy was a 'classy' individual and he will be sorely missed by his family and friends.”
