He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Austen and Hazel Austen; and his brother-in-law Eric Ferguson (Cathy). He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his children, Troy of Haliburton and Skye Austen (Wayne Lavery) of Eagle Lake; his grandchild Hayes; his siblings, Kathy (late Phil Allen), Margo (Paul Sisson) and Elwood (Donna); and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Ferguson (Rheta), Lorraine Irvine (Brian), Sharon Christie and Gail Hannon (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
