He is survived by: his wife Frances; his daughters, Nancy Burrell (Steve) and Susan VanSchooneveld (Tony); his grandchildren, Stacy Dion and Daniel VanSchooneveld (Jenn); his great grandchildren, Arrow, Everest, Axton VanSchooneveld and Savannah Dion; and his brother Byron (LeeAnn).

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd, Peterborough, ON K9J 1C5). A burial will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Highland Park Cemetery, Highland Park Chapel (4211 Yonge St #316, North York, ON M2P2A9).
