She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Mitchell; her son Lorne Mitchell; and her siblings, Alfred, Howard, Bruce, Ruth Berry and Irene Hewitt.

She is survived by: her children, Doris Burgomaster (late Doug) and Douglas Mitchell (Shirley); her grandchildren, Angela Burgomaster (Ali Jafarpour), Mitchell Burgomaster, Julie Wilson (Tim), Mark Mitchell (Tanya), Kathy Schmitke (Karl), Kelly (Colleen) and Bernice Mitchell (Murray Lambshead); and her great grandchildren, Courtney, Zachary Wilson, Madison, Cody Mitchell, Collin, Karley Mitchell, Samuel and Kolton Schmitke.

Due to covid restrictions a private family service was held.
