She was predeceased by: her husbands, Arnold Elson and Bill Hughes; her son Dave Elson (Cindy); and her sister Marilyn Ulrich. She is survived by: her sons, Jim Elson (Anne) and Bill Elson (Michelle); her stepchildren, Corinne, Thomas and Bryan; and her siblings, Larry Beach and Colleen Kennedy. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
