He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Bentley (Burns); and his sister Norma. He is survived by: his son Steven; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Bentley; his grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha Luk, Daniel Luk, Scott Luk, Kaitlyn Luk, Brian Lieuw-Kie Song and Timothy Lieuw-Kie Song; and his brothers, Brian and Joe Bentley.
