She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas MacKinnon; her parents, Violet Friend and Harry Friend; her son-in-law Charles Robert; and her brother Richard Friend.

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Robert (Tim Kirby), Matthew (Allison) and Mark MacKinnon; her grandchildren, Dillon Robert, Courtney Robert (Nick Lowder), Victoria Robert (Jeff Heron), Kyla MacKinnon (Drew Wilton), Colin, Owen and Sarah MacKinnon; her great grandchild Jayden; and her grandson Charles.
