She was predeceased by: her son-in-law Paul Rogers; her parents, George Ahrens and Margery Ahrens; her brother Keith Ahrens; and her sister-in-law Joy Walther (Keith).
She is survived by: her husband Peter "Pete" Simpson; her children, Marjorie-Ann Halcomb (Kevin), Terry Simpson (Corinne) and Steve Simpson (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Ryan Matthew, Jay, Kayla, Natalie and Hannah; her sibling Jerry Ahrens (Cindy); her sisters-in-law, Jane Ahrens and Joanne Trewartha (Ron); and her close friend Bev Elliott. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
