With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Sterling Hewitt (Perth, Ontario), who passed away on September 13, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Sheryl (Ross MacGregor); his parents, Harvey Hewitt and Elva Hewitt; and his siblings, Daina (John Bradley) and Graham (Sheila).

He is survived by: his significant other Kathleen Johnson; his children, Shelley (Tim Purdy), Marlene (Barry Goddard), Heather (Delmer Sample) and Jim (Sheryl); and his brother Leonard (Kathy). He is also survived by his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
