Howard George Thompson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Howard George Thompson (Perth, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Henry (Marcella), Fred (Inez) and Marjorie Shipley (John); his parents, Douglas Thompson and Annie Thompson; the mother of his children Lillian; and also, Edna, Alice, Victor and Charles Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Phillis (late Eddie), Laura (Wayne), Mildred (Mark), Wilda (Laurie), Morris (Delores), Donna (Doug), Doug (Julie), Jewel, Monica, Margaret (Bob), Myles (Rebecca) and Diane (David); his sisters, Mabel Smith (late John) and Beatrice Gard (Merv); and also, Sharon, Josephine and Ron. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Blair & Son Funeral Home (15 Gore St W, Perth, ON K7H2L7). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Mississippi-Rideau Lakes Corps - Christmas Campaign, would be greatly appreciated.
