He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Smith and Florence Smith (Mayburry); and his friend John Diniz. He is survived by: his children, Brad McLaren (Mary), Scott McLaren (Paula) and Bonnie McLaren (Rob); his grandchildren, Curtis (Alysia), Jillian (Cody), Jennifer (Bryan), Carolyn (Winston), Katelyn (Nic), Greg (Erin), Corie and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Zachary, Grace, Lilly, Nolan and Ellie; and his sibling Clare (Joanne).
