It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garry George Timlick Dopson (Perth, Ontario), who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his significant other Helen; his daughters, Tammy and Linda; his stepchildren, Debra Hogan (Geoff Nix), Cheryl Hogan (John Atherton), Catherine Doyle (Wayne) and Jamie Hogan; his siblings, Richard Dopson (Eva), Linda Duynisveld (late Len), Nancy Cameron (late Doug) and Billy Dopson (Peggy); his aunts and uncles, Beryl Beckett and Laura Aunger; his parents, Delmar Dopson and Grace Dopson (Beamish); and his siblings, Robert and Carol Ann. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blair & Son - Smiths Falls Chapel (112 Beckwith St N, Smiths Falls, ON K7A2C2). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wolford Cemetery (777 Kilmarnock Rd #677, Jasper, ON K0G1G0).
