She was predeceased by: her former husband James Steele; her husband Doug Whan; her children, Blake (Paula), Brenda Steele (Bryan), Vonnie Day (Gord), Dean (Nancy), Paul and John; her siblings, Jean Lovelace, Carl (Sylvia), Kaye Wilson and Sharon Koen; her parents, Charlie Dusharme and Katie Dusharme; and her siblings, Cecil, Donald, Shirley, Evalena Ayling, Marjorie Lakins and Norma Harpell.

She is survived by: her in-laws, Harry Whan (Sylvia) and Edith England (late Norm White).

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Goodfellow's Funeral Home (11014 Rd. 38, Parham, ON K0H2K0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
