He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Samuel and Mabel Bell; his in-laws, Betty (Frank Senack), Billy Emon (Gertie), Thelma (Tony Senack), Frankie Emon (Agnes), Ray Emon (Edna), Lawrence, Loretta Emon, Keith Emon (Ruth), Earl Emon (Shirley) and Janet; and also Margaret (Willis Hartwick).

He is survived by: his wife Catherine Johnston; his children, Andrew (Charlene) of Lansdowne, Thomas Glen, Victoria (Thomas Lalonde) of Lanark and Sharon Emon; his grandchildren, Cole, Rebecca, Thomas, Joseph, Ida, Elizabeth, Miriam, John, Amos and Esther; his siblings, Gwen (late Eric Gibson) and Glenn Johnston (Beverley); his sister-in-law Wilda; and his in-laws, Victor Emon (Anna Mary), Connie Emon (late Andy), Eric Emon and Penny Tough (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
