She was predeceased by: her parents, Geneva Solar (Jobson) and Wallace Solar; and her siblings, Arthur, Peggy and Judy.

She is survived by: her spouse Eddy Johnston of Ardoch; her children, Kathy Davis (John) of Kitchener, Penny Hawley (Harvy) of Ardoch, Bill Johnston (Lisa) of Mallorytown, Chuck Johnston of Ardoch and Laura Johnston of Athens; her grandchildren, Brent (Kimberley), Justin (Nicole), John Michael (Katy), Christopher, Ashley (Andrew), Samantha (Chris) and William (Breanna); and her sisters, Ida Bisonett and Eleanor Kennedy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In memory of Betty, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Arthritis Society Canada would be appreciated by the family.
