She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Heard and William Heard; and her sister Patricia Cutler (Patrick Emery). She is survived by: her son Jason Emery; her grandson Jordan Emery; and her siblings, David Heard, Michelle Wales and Lynn McMaster. She is also survived by her many friends, extended family.

Donations can be made in her name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
