It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan (Betty) Carey (Penetanguishene, Ontario), who passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Oakes (Glogowski) and George Oakes; and her siblings, Buddy, Ann and Francie.

She is survived by: her significant other Nello Bonavita (Aniello); her daughters, Tina Forget (John) and Trisha Warriner (Josh); her grandchildren, Jody, Jason, Samantha, Clayton and Jacob; her great grandchildren, Colton and Chloe; and her siblings, Tom (Carol), Cathy (Bart) and Mary (Heinz). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
