He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert and Lillian (Virgo); his siblings, Garth and Audrey; and his grandchildren, Jeff, Chris and Scott.

He is survived by: his children, Garry, Don (Nancy), Doug (Kim), Glen (Joan), Michael (Patti) and Cindy (John); his grandchildren, Nancy, Sara, Jen, Carolyn, Samantha, Tori, Ryan, Erin and Stephanie; his great grandchildren, Logan, Quinn, Finley, George, Julien, William, Mekella, Brooke, Maddy and Caleb; and his wife Margaret.

Memorial donations can be made to Georgian Bay General Hospital or the Georgian Manor in memory of George.
