He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Norton; and his parents, Johnny Mixemong and Nellie Mixemong. He is survived by: his children, Brian Norton, Arthur Mixemong (Becky) and Conley James Mixemong; his grandson James Brennan Mixemong; his siblings, Elijah Mixemong (Kay), Conley, Victorian and Stanley; his goddaughters, Ursula Copegog and Tamara Rice; and his pet Gizmo. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
