It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erwin Zimmermann (Penetanguishene, Ontario), who passed away on February 10, 2020, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his siblings, Walter, Isabel McCurdy and Cora Eisenfeller; and his friend Denna Woods (Wayne). He is also survived by extended family and friends.

“I did not know Erwin very well, but I did vote for him for mayor one time. I knew him from his wonderfully polite greeting whenever I ran into him at the post office or on the street. In fact, my brother was visiting from out of town and happened to be in The Harbour and came back to my home to tell me what a 'fantastic guy' he'd met and talked to...I knew it was Erwin. 59 is far too young to leave this earth, but perhaps he was needed elsewhere. God always has a plan. He will be missed.”
