He was predeceased by: his wife Velma Roi; and his sister Stella. He is survived by: his children, Simone Ivan, Helen Asselin (Don), Bernadette Rose, Robert Roi (Maurie), Paul Roi and Vivian Abraham (late Stephen); his great grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Sara and Andrew; and his siblings, Jeannette, Cecile, Leo, Leonard, Maurice and Bertha. He is also survived by his extended family and many friends.
