He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Childerhose and Mary Childerhose; his brother Jim Childerhose; his in-laws, Arnold and Burrell Dick; his brother-in-law Allen Dick; and his daughter-in-law Eileen Childerhose.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Childerhose; his children, Thane (Patty Lyn), Kerr (Rhonda) and Patrick (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Spencer (Bailey), Elyza (Xavier), Chloe (Cameron) and Emily; his sisters-in-law, Jill Childerhose, Mary (Mike Etmanski) and Florence Dick; and his caregivers, Warren Alonza, Irene Agdam, Randy Running and Mario. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
