He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Lance and Olive Lance; his siblings, Helena Remus (late Cecil), Jimmy (late Patricia), Ronnie and Joe Lance (late Kathy); and his sisters-in-law, Emarita Alisdair (late Mike) and Marion Fleury.

He is survived by: his wife Ida Mae Lance; his children, Brian Lance (Donna), Cathy Kennedy (Barry), Brenda Weichenthal (Wade), Terry Lance (Debbie) and Shawn Lance (Sheri); his grandchildren, Curtis (Onieka), Brandon Kennedy, Scott Weichenthal (Allison), Cody and Carly Lance; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Attlee Kennedy, Solange Kennedy, Noah and Lidia Weichenthal; his sister Lorena Lance; and his sister-in-law Anne McNeil (late Danny). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Neville Funeral Home (491 Isabella St, Pembroke, ON K8A5T8).
