Though Emelda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Emelda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Aimé Touchette; her parents, Euclide Villeneuve and Liane Villeneuve; and her granddaughter Céline Harkin. She is survived by: her children, Monique Harkin (Don), Louise Gratton, Claire Kydd (Shawn), Denis Touchette and Robert Touchette (Doris); and her brother George Villeneuve (Colette). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Jean Baptiste Church (500 Isabella St, Pembroke, ON K8A5T9).
