He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Noah; his sibling Charlotte Comer; his mother Ina; his brother John; and his parent-in-law Queenie.
He is survived by: his husband Gail; his children, Jeffrey of Sutton, John (Lisa) of Sutton and Rebecca Butler (T. J.) of Pefferlaw; his grandchildren, Courtney (Joe), Nicole, Kaitlyn, Jakob, Haley and Natalie; his parent-in-law Bruce Cormack; his siblings-in-law, Richard (Denise) and Randy (Estelle); and his pet Diesel. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends.
