He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Bender and Mabel Bender; and his child Jesse. He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Barton and Lois Lloyd; his wife Nancy; his children, Ryan (Christine), Daniel (Megan) and Alex; his grandchildren, Kyle and Elizabeth; and his brothers, Eric (Patricia) and Peter (Catherine). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and extended family.

Private Funeral service by invitation only due to Covid restrictions.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
