He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Gervais and Rose Gervais (Nee Legault). He is survived by: his siblings, Aurel, Paul, Desnieges, Pauline and Rolande; his former wife Laura; his children, Danny and Judy; his grandchildren, DJ, Nicole, Candice, Noel, Trevor and Nick; and his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Liam, Elliot, Autumn and Persephone.

Memorial donations may be made in Lionel's name to the Sudbury Cancer Centre at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
