She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Plaetzer and Lena Plaetzer; her husband Kenneth M. Sword; her son Ronald Sword; and her sister Evelyn Flett.

She is survived by: her daughter Lynda (Peter Knox); her grandchildren, Kenneth Sword (Vicki), Brian Sword (Tracy), Katherine (Robert Scott) and James Knox; her great grandchildren, Desmond, Maddy, Theo Sword, Michael, Thomas Sword, Allison and Kevin Scott; and her brother Lawrence Plaetzer. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
