He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bill, Aubrey, Matt, Lorraine, Gloria and Edna; and his sister-in-law Ruth (Allie).
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Emerson; his children, Rick (Kim), Ivan (Sheila), Kevin (Chantel) and Karen; his grandchildren, Barry, Tyrel, Biancha (Freddy), Cameron, Julia, Ernest, Sarah (John) and Joshua (Rachel); his great grandchildren, James, Abby, Noah, Isabella, Liam, Luke, Tristan, Charlie, Sarah, Marion and Pheonix; his siblings, Wilbert, Harvey, Liona, Gail and Gary; and his siblings-in-law, Mark, Matthew, Judy, Linda, Penny and Barbara. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
