Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Howard Newton Michaelis (Parry Sound, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 83, on January 13, 2025. He was predeceased by: his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Norman Irish; his sister June Michaelis; his brother-in-law Douglas Armstrong; his brothers, Bill Fairhall (Eva), Thurley English (late Ross) and Bob Fairhall (Linda); and his parents, Garnet Michaelis and Evelyn Michaelis (Pletzer).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jane Michaelis (Fairhall); his daughters, Brenda Michaelis-Raney, Bonnie Quinn (Steve), Betty Cavanagh (Brent) and Belinda Michaelis-Long; and his grandchildren, Ben Raney, Emily Elizabeth Raney (Chris), Laura-Lynn Raney (Jason), Zachary Raney, Isaac Quinn, Adam Quinn (Holly), Noah Quinn, Aiden Cavanagh, Anika Cavanagh, Lauren Long (Shamen), Joshua Long and Tyler Long. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St, Parry Sound, ON P2A2L8). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
