He is survived by: his parents, Steven Nelson (Kendra) and Maria Rutledge (Mark); his brother Danny; his grandmothers, Susan (late Vincent) and Janice (Phil); his aunt Valerie (Dan); his uncles, Carlos (Mandy), Jason and Kevin (Lindsay); his cousins, Jadyn, Payton, Bradee and Rorri; and his brother Nash.

“I met Hayden when he was maybe 5 years old with his twin brother Danny and thought they were adorable. When I had chickens I once saw some toys and realized the boys had come to visit the chickens. Later last summer I ran into Steven with both boys grown up at Canadian Tire and that was so nice to see. I hope you both and all who loved Hayden support each other and draw strength to continue on, never forgetting him and his sweetness. Ellen Irwin”
