He was predeceased by: his wife Annie; and his sister Jeanie Sanders (Frank). He is survived by: his children, Sue Bates (Graeme), Bob Willemse (Rosemary), Sandra Veens (John) and Sherie Amos (Scott); his grandchildren, Anna (Josh), Brent (Marika), Sydney, Mikaela, Sabrina (Jordan), Justin (Kate), Jeff (Courtney), Jordan (Brittany), Cameron, Jacob and Jocelyn; and his siblings, Joanne Soetemans (Joe), Sam Willemse (Anita), Gera Sanders (Pete), Harry Willemse (Fran), Jack Willemse (Marietta), Case Willemse (Annie), Mary Strik (Joe), Tony Willemse (Bernie) and Corry Van Gorp (John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
