Ike Schiestel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ike Schiestel of Parkhill, Ontario, who passed away on January 24, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Schiestel; and his parents, Fred Sr. Schiestel and Gertrude Schiestel (Schaefer). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Marcie, Jamie, Leo, Rex, Gus Gowland of Teeswater, Nick, Candace, Maria, Luke, Rita Schiestel of Parkhill, Sandy, Chris, Kuno, Alida, MaryBeth, Janette Hartman of Lakeside, Rob, Shannon, Braya, Brodee, Tye Schiestel of Parkhill, Greg, Mary and Auggie Schiestel of Saskatoon; his siblings, Anne (Lorne), Nick (Alice Schiestel), Fred (Darlene Schiestel), Charlie (Pauline), Gertie Eckenswiller, George (Marilyn), Peter (Jayne Schiestel), Tommy (Cindy) and Doug Wyatt; his in-laws, Alice, Lucio Facchina, Francine, Jack De Groot, Johanna, Joseph Minten, Julie of Gouw, Elsie, Peter Dykstra, Agnes, Kees Peeters, Angela, Dave Kennedy, Barbara and Chris VanderVloet; and his close friend Darlene Beierling. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (159 Ann St, Parkhill, ON N0M2K0). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the North Middlesex District Community Centre (225 McLeod St, Parkhill, ON N0M2K0).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sacred Heart Church Parkhill Capital Campaign, Craigwiel Adult Day Program, or the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
