He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Anne Thomson; his parents, Simon and Annie; and his siblings, Grace (late John), Florence (late Colin), Ruth (late Stuart), Carlyle (Wendy), Dorothy and Colin.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Thomson (Catherine Rossiter), Steve Thomson (Brenda), Mark Thomson (Sandra) and Connie MacGregor (Chris); his grandchildren, Josie (Greg), Bailey, Scott (Nicole), Mandy (Greg), Bill (Danielle), Corey (Loretta), Brittany (Mike), Meghan (Brad), Tyler (Nicole), Krystle (Mike), Morgan (Jimmy) and John (Melissa); and his sisters, Carol (late Barry) and Judy (Howard). He is also survived by his 14 great grandchildren.
