He was predeceased by: his mother Joanna; his stepmother Maria; his father Adrianus Bax; his siblings-in-law, Roy and Evelyn Watson; his brother Joe Bax; his brothers-in-law, Lyle Bergey and Steve Soetemans; and his grandson Beau Bax.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bax; his children, Rhonda Boyd (Sam), Michael Bax (Brooke), Steven Bax (Elanna), Angela Porkolab (Michael) and Matthew Bax (Selena); his grandchildren, Melanie Thuss (Peter), Rya Smith and Tyson Smith (Samantha, family: Izabella, Caden, Gabriella, Ronan, Danika Bax, Levi, Cash Bax, Lily, Josh Porkolab, Elexis, Lucas Bax); and his siblings, Frank Bax (Marie), Casey Bax, Adriana Soetemans, John Bax (Paula), Pete Bax, Jeannie Bergey, Louis Bax (Annie), Dave Watson (Sheila) and Bonnie Watson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
