He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Aitchison (Epplett); his parents, Percival Aitchison and Catherine Aitchison (Rennie); and his siblings, Douglas Aitchison and June Clement.
He is survived by: his nieces, Heather Oakes (Alan) and Carla Leigh.
