He was predeceased by: his sister Anne McClay; and his parents, Edward Stern and Nancy Stern. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth (Nee Berec); his children, Theresa Roberts-Stern (Steve), Michael, Ed (Kim), Rick (Michele), Pete and Brian; his grandchildren, Rebecca Bakker (Marines), Matthew Churchill Jake (Jenna), Jackson, Kahla Durrant (Eric), Eric (Shelby), Curtis (Alycia), Chris, Jeffery, Lucas, Violet (Eddie) and Jordan; and his siblings, David Stern and Liz Foster (Dudley). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
