It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Edna McCarty of Paris, Ontario, who passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Hawkins and Annie Hawkins; her former husband Fred Harrison; her husband Leo McCarty; her sister Doris Fitzpatrick; her sons-in-law, Terry Bishop and Dan Kent; and her brothers-in-law, Edward Fitzpatrick and Al Forsythe.
She is survived by: her sister Phyllis Forsythe; her daughter Doris Ann Snell (Ray); her stepchildren, Janis Bishop, Patricia Kent and John McCarty (Bonnie); and her grandchildren, Tim Snell, Laura Johnston (Ken), Andrew Snell (Jen), Angela Bishop (Linford), Rebecca Farmer (Nathan), Scott Bishop, Dan Kent Jr. (Lindsay), Christine Rushton (Mike), John McCarty Jr. (Jen) and Mike McCarty. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
