He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Novak (Ostryznik) and John Novak; his brother Henry (Mary); his sisters-in-law, Helen, Marion and Sharon (Ed Madden); and his parents-in-law, Betty and Rueben Fox.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Novak; his children, Randy (Noreen), Joanne Forrest (Greg) and Darren (Jayne); his great grandchildren, Brody, Blair Norris, Kali and Skylar Novak; his siblings, Ed (Doris), Mimi (Blackie Pacan), Carl (Jay), Frances (late Bill Dmetriuc), Bernice (Tom Gardner), Danny (Trudy), Tommy (Joan) and Vickie (Paul O'Connor); and his sister-in-law Ruby (Dave Bailey). He is also survived by many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and dear friends.
