It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivan Simms (Paris, Ontario), who passed away on March 30, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sibling Marita (Ivan); and his parents, Norman and Louise. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Steve (Katerina) and Sammy (Kris); his grandchild Evalina; his siblings, Lexie (Elsie), Robin (Edith), Norrie (Margaret), Eileen (late Sammy), Adeline (Thomas) and Sandra (Peter); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret (Sammy), William (Mary), Ann (late William), James (Denise) and Anne (Eamonn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. George United Church or Stedman Hospice, would be appreciated.

“Ivan fought a tough battle against a fight no one can win. The ones left behind will have the hardest time continuing on without him! It's been 24yrs since I lost Dad to prostate cancer. I miss him and think of him often. I do believe he stuck around for awhile before deciding to pass over. There where quite obvious signs and when I think back now, it puts a smile on my face. Keep each other close. Give lots of hugs. Reminisce often. Take care. We are thinking of you. Denise, Cathy & Jake”
