He was predeceased by: his mother Donna; and his father-in-law Dale. He is survived by: his spouse June; his children, Dylan (Amber) and Jonathan; his grandchildren, Frankee and Sanford; and his sibling Lisa Gillies (Walter). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
