Winston Burt Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winston Burt of Palmerston, Ontario, who passed away on March 10, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Winston Burt to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his sister Susie (Dennis); his parent-in-law Klaas Benning; his brothers-in-law, John Benning, Mike (Ingrid Benning), Bill (Carla Benning) and Dan (Linda Linker); his parents, Sidney Burt and Lena Burt; his brothers, Rod, Roy, Garland and Leroy; and his half-sister Mammie.

He is survived by: his wife Mary (Benning); his children, Jennifer, Ryan Cherrey of Palmerston, Matthew Burt of Drayton, Nicole and Mike Orth of Harriston; his grandchildren, Cole, Caden, Maddie, Jax, Ivy, Owen and Reed; his siblings, Pearce (Elsie), Stewart (Francis), Willis (Helena), Linda (Wilson), Mildred (Ralph), Margaret, Ethel (Edward) and Karen (Whyman); and his mother-in-law Theresa Benning. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Frank Lambier Legion Branch 409.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation MRI or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
