He was predeceased by: his parent George Cherry; and his siblings, Donald Cherry and Dorothy (Victor Bauer). He is survived by: his parent Beatrice Cherry (Weisner); his siblings, Robert Cherry and John Cherry; and his nieces and nephews, David Bauer of Hornepayne, Nancy (Robert Kinsman) of Bracebridge, Ty Bauer of Churchill, Suzanne (Lee Chadwick) of St. Albert and Chris Cherry (Vicki Scott) of Utterson.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston United Church or the Palmerston Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
