He was predeceased by: his wife Heather; his daughters, Tina Smithson and Mary Ellen Legree; his siblings, Joseph Legree, Jessie Finner, Helen Levi, Christina Wood, Mary Lowe, Jean Vanstone and Dolly Finner; and his parents, Joseph Legree and Christina Legree.
He is survived by: his children, Michael of Pakenham and Terry (Lynn) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Scott Smithson (Carol), Brittni MacGowan (Brian), Curtis Smithson (Lindsay Cavanagh), Jordan Legree (Chelsea Nicholas), Chelsie Thorne (James) and Haylie Legree (Andrew Wytenburg); his great grandchildren, William, Austyn and Roselyn; and his sister Margaret Neron (late Donald) of Carleton Place. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
